THE FRONT LINE: Review By Krosan

the front lineHi, this is Krosan with my review on the latest movie of writer/director David Gleeson, THE FRONT LINE. An African immigrant bank security guard Joe, gets forced by a group of Irish criminals to act as an inside man on a bank robbery. In an attempt to rescue his family, Joe fights back against the criminals. At first it sounded to me as yet another heist movie, although with a hard edge, but this is far from the truth. THE FRONT LINE gives you something to think about and it would be an insult to say this movie is nothing more than the numerous other action flicks out there. In this movie lies a heart.

Convincing performances – Ebouaney and McSorley are strikingly good in the central roles – and visually strong production values ensure the thriller aspect of the first half will bring you to the edge of the seat. The movie bristles with freshness and cinematic sophistication.
Gleeson has delivered a terrific film that reminds us what big screens were made for.

If I would have to give this a score, I would give it 8/10.

Joss Whedon Now Free To Do SAILOR MOON Live Action Movie

Hey everyone, Ryan here with a scoop coming from ‘Stuart’ regarding Joss Whedon and a live-action SAILOR MOON film. Here is what ‘Stuart’ has to say:

Access Hollywood got the chance to talk with a Fox Studios worker in Century City, who revealed that one of the major movie studios is looking to quickly sign Joss Whedon as the director of the Sailor Moon live action movie, now that he is free from the Wonder Woman big screen adaptation. Also, a list of unconfirmed actresses attached to the movie that the studio has already contacted for main roles.

About a year ago, rumors said that Joss Whedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) was attached to direct the live action version of the popular anime “Sailor Moon” after doing Wonder Woman.
Now that Whedon is off the WW project it’s likely that he will take on the Sailor Moon movie right away, or at least that’s what Fox wants.

When the Sailor Moon movie was reported last year, Lindsay Lohan and Jennifer Garner were both set to play starring roles, but both now dropped out. This time new casting announcements include; Maggie Grace, Julie Gonzalo, Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel, Danielle Panabaker, A.J. Cook, Rachel Blanchard, Mischa Barton, Deanna Casaluce, Amanda Righetti, Elisa Donovan and Emma Caulfield.

The plot will be a complete new story based on Naoko Takeuchi’s (Sailor Moon creator) unreleased material.
Whedon is also developing a horror movie called “Goner”.

Here is an unconfirmed list of actresses and the characters they are supposed to play:

Mischa Barton ————–Sailor Moon
Alexis Bledel ————— Sailor Mercury
Julie Gonzalo ————– Sailor Venus
Amber Tamblyn ————Sailor Jupiter
Deanna Casaluce ——— Sailor Mars
Danielle Panabaker——- Sailor Neptune
Maggie Grace ————– Sailor Uranus

A.J. Cook, Elisa Donovan, Amanda Righetti, Emma Caulfield and Rachel Blanchard would play the main villains.

Andrew’s Insight On Tobin Bell’s Involvement With SAW IV

Hey everyone, Ryan here with another message from Andrew. Tobin Bell was recently cast as the star in the upcoming sequel to BOOGEYMAN. What does this mean for SAW IV and Tobin Bell’s involvement in it? Andrew lets you know his thoughts:

Andrew here again. At the moment I haven’t recieved any more news on Saw IV, but I did here some other depressing news. Today I learned that Tobin Bell is confirmed to star as one of the leads in the sequel to Boogeyman. Boogeyman fans can rejoice and celebrate that such a good actor has joined the cast list for the sequel, but what does this mean for the SAW fans. Will Tobin have time to return to the Saw IV set for flashbacks? All we can do is hope. What is a SAW movie with Tobin Bell? I guess will find out if Tobins time doesn’t permit him to step foot on the Saw IV set. More news on Saw IV as I recieve.

Hopefully Bell will have the time and commitment to make it on the set of SAW IV for a cameo or two. I will continue to post information as we receive it.

DELTA FARCE Posters Online

Hey everyone, Ryan here with the latest work coming from some of the guys from Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy are set to star in DELTA FARCE, a comedy that is very similar to the 1980s classic, THE THREE AMIGOS.

Three small town National Guardsmen (Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, D.J. Qualls) bound for Iraq are instead, accidentally, dropped into Mexico. Confused, they proceed to carry out their mission anyway and “liberate” a small Mexican village from a bunch of corrupt Federales.

Lions Gate Films plans on a May 11th, 2007 release.
