MPAA Changes GRINDHOUSE Rating To NC-17

Hey everyone, Ryan here with a quick bit about GRINDHOUSE, due in theaters this Friday. Yesterday, the MPAA announced that they have decided to change GRINDHOUSE’s previous “R” rating to an “NC-17″ rating, due to gratuitous violence, obscene sex/nudity, and harsh language.
This comes as a mjaor shock to many fans and theater goers who were hoping to see the movie this Friday. Most movie theaters will not host an “NC-17″ rated film at their establishment, so this will most likely destroy the box-office results for GRINDHOUSE next weekend.
Tarantino and Rodriguez, the directs or GRINDHOUSE, have been said to be frantically trying to edit the film even further to receive an “R” rating again, but since they have such a limited time to do so, they might have to take out more than needed. So this means that the film we see in the theaters may be edited even more than it needs to. Many of us will just have to wait until the final, un-edited version comes out on DVD.
Even after this sad news, I know I will still be first in line on Friday, regardless of how much the MPAA screwed us over on GRINDHOUSE. I hope they get their act together soon.
