Live Action ALICE IN WONDERLAND Remake

JoBlo.com reports that Linda Woolverton is writing the script for a live action remake of ALICE IN WONDERLAND. Woolverton has had some previous work, such as writing for THE LION KING and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
Currently, there is another version of ALICE IN WONDERLAND being done by Marcus Nispel, which will star Sarah Michelle Gellar. Nispel’s take is based off of the videogame Alice, which is more of a horror story than a children’s tale.

Alas, the lure of fat paychecks and exhibitionist number-one spots at the box office got the better of them, and as they slipped into middle-age, their collaborations gradually became stale and soulless as they sacrificed depth for marketability. Eventually the gods of world cinema banished Depp and Burton to the land of sell-outs where they were forced to contemplate their insatiable greed for the rest of their days. The end…or was that simply a wonderful dream?
