Hey everyone, Ryan here with some more SPEED RACER news…

It seems as though LOST star Matthew Fox will be playing the role of Racer X in SPEED RACER.

We have already reported that Emile Hirsch is Speed Racer, Christina Ricci is Trixie, and John Goodman and Susan Sarandon will play Speed’s parents.

Fishburne Voices Silver Surfer, Not Galactus

Hey everyone, Ryan here…

Well now, this is some pretty interesting news. We reported yesterday that Galactus was going to be a storm cloud, and last week we reported that Laurence Fishburne was going to be the voice of Galactus…well we now know one of those rumors is false.

According to Variety.com, Fishburne is going to do the voice of the Silver Surfer, not Galactus.

20th Century Fox states that they are unsure whether or not Galactus will even speak in the movie.

EVAN ALMIGHTY Theatrical Trailer Hits The Net In Almighty HD!

Hey everyone, Ryan here…

Apple has just released the theatrical trailer for EVAN ALMIGHTY in HD. If you ask me, this trailer gives away waaaaaaay too much of the story, so if you are not into spoilers of any sort, I recommend staying away from this one. Otherwise, click this link to go to the official Apple page or watch the video below. Enjoy!

Galactus Is A Cloud

**It has now been reported that Laurence Fishburne is NOT doing the voice of Galactus, but rather will be voicing the Silver Surfer.**

Hey everyone, Ryan here…

Wow…so earlier this week we had some real cool news that Laurence Fishburne was going to do the voice of Galactus in the upcoming FANTASTIC FOUR sequel. Well now we have even more news regarding Galactus, and I have to says, it’s bad news.

Ain’t It Cool News reports that Galactus will not appear as a giant, but rather as a storm cloud.

I guess, with that news, that FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER is completely ruined for all of the Fantastic Four fans out there.

Photos From 3:10 TO YUMA Online Now

Hey everyone, Ryan here with some really cool pictures coming from 3:10 TO YUMA, starring Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. This is a remake of a western film that came out in 1957, which follows a rancher that agrees to keep a captured outlaw prisoner until a train arrives that will take him to court in Yuma.

This remake is being helmed by James Mangold, who is the same guy that brought us WALK THE LINE and IDENTITY.

These pictures look pretty cool and leave me wanting more. This is going to be one of my most anticipated movies coming out this fall, it looks awesome. Don’t take my word for it, check out these pictures!

Kate Beckinsale Is BARBARELLA

Hey everyone, Ryan here…

This story is coming from Life Style Extra

Kate Beckinsale has landed the lead role in the remake of BARBARELLA.

“Jane Fonda made the ‘Barbarella’ role very much her own all those years ago and she is bound to be a tough act to follow. But the feeling is that Kate has just the right combination of beauty, humour and acting talent for the part.”

Reports are that Sienna Miller, Angelina Jolie, and Halle Berry have also been considered for the role of BARBARELLA.

Beckinsale has also starred in sci-fi films such as UNDERWORLD and VAN HELSING, so this will not be a “new” role for her.

As we reported earlier, the remake is being written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the same two guys who wrote the remake of CASINO ROYALE. The film is being produced by Dino De Laurentiis, who has this to say:

“The reinvented heroine will be akin to a female James Bond – in outer space.”

Below are images of Kate Beckinsale and Jane Fonda, respectively.

INDIANA JONES 4 Might Have A Title

Hey everyone, Ryan here…

Well we might be able to finally tack on a title to INDIANA JONES 4. Dave Davis, from JoBlo.com, says a very reliable source tells him the title is going to be…

INDIANA JONES AND THE CITY OF THE GODS

Sounds pretty good if you ask me. God does play a major role in the Indy movies, so this title seems very appropriate. Davis does say that this may be a fake title just to throw the fans off track, but no one knows right now.

New J.R.R. Tolkien Novel To Become Film

Hey everyone, Ryan here with some great news for all of the Tolkien fans out there! This story is coming from comingsoon.net.

Christopher Tolkien has finished the last book ever by J.R.R. Tolkien, his father, by taking manuscripts and pulling them together without applying any editorial invention.

The new book is told in fragmentary form, similar to “The Silmarillion”, and is much darker than “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings”. The story is set long before “The Lord of the Rings” in Middle-earth and tells the tale of Turin and his sister Nienor who are cursed by Morgoth, the first Dark Lord.

David Brawn, director of publishing at HarperCollins, said movie studios are eager to buy the rights to the new book.

“We all want this first and foremost to enjoy life as a book,” said Brawn. “No one’s saying never to a film (but) the film rights are reserved by the estate. We want to see what reaction it gets and then let it run its course.”

New Look For The Joker In THE DARK KNIGHT

Hey everyone, Ryan here…

This is coming from Batman-on-Film.com via IGN.com

Reports are coming in regarding the way Joker will look in the new Batman movie, THE DARK KNIGHT, since filming is set to begin shortly.

Batman-on-Film.com has been informed by a scooper that Ledger’s Joker “will have gray skin with lots of scarring.” Furthermore, Joker will reportedly wear “raggedy” garb, which jives with earlier rumors that his outfit will be more like something he’s thrown together than a costume per se.

Christopher Nolan, who also directed BATMAN BEGINS, is said to be going for a “scary” Joker rather than a clownish one which has been seen before. Nolan is going for a much more realistic feel to the film, like he did with The Scarecrow and Ra’s Al Ghul in BATMAN BEGINS.

Batman-on-Film.com is also reporting that Warner Brothers will be releasing an official image of The Joker sometime this summer to keep other images from leaking out.

Live Action ALICE IN WONDERLAND Remake

Hey everybody, Ryan here…

JoBlo.com reports that Linda Woolverton is writing the script for a live action remake of ALICE IN WONDERLAND. Woolverton has had some previous work, such as writing for THE LION KING and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

Currently, there is another version of ALICE IN WONDERLAND being done by Marcus Nispel, which will star Sarah Michelle Gellar. Nispel’s take is based off of the videogame Alice, which is more of a horror story than a children’s tale.
