Nic Cage Is Al Capone In UNTOUCHABLES Prequel

Nicolas Cage has been cast as Al Capone in a prequel to 1987’s UNTOUCHABLES. The original had Robert De Niro as Capone, the legendary mob boss.
The new film, THE UNTOUCHABLES: CAPONE’S RISING will follow Capone’s fall into the Chicago underworld and his rise to power. Brian De Palma, the direct of the original, will be helming the prequel as well.
Production is said to begin in October and the studio is looking for a 2008 release date.
