THE SIMS Coming To The Big Screen

I must say, this is some of the worst news I have heard in a long time. Variety.com reports that the folks over at 20th Century Fox have decided to greenlight a live-action movie adaptation of the life simulation game THE SIMS.
Steve Asbell will be overseeing the project for Fox while SIMS studio Electronic Arts head Rod Humble will be managing the creative property. Brian Lynch will be writing a script and John Davis will be directing the film.
Davis’s latest projects include NORBIT, WHEN A STRANGER CALLS and ERAGON while Lynch’s latest projects include BIG HELIUM DOG, which he directed and wrote, and SCARY MOVIE THREE. With films those being the most recently created by those two fellows, I can safely say that THE SIMS movie will, indeed, suck balls.
