Hey everyone, Ryan here with some interesting news…

It seems as though Robert Rodriguez (GRINDHOUSE, SIN CITY, SPY KIDS) is in talks to direct a live-action version of THE JETSONS. But that’s not all, Rodriguez is also in talks to direct a feature length version of the TV show LAND OF THE LOST with Will Ferrell attached to play the lead role.

As of right now, THE JETSONS has a better chance of being taken up by Rodriguez, mainly because Adam Goldberg (FANBOYS) has already written a draft of the script.

While this news may come as a surprise to some of you, it comes as no surprise to me at all. Rodriguez always does movies for little kids, mainly because he has some of his own, and probably because they make a lot of money.

But I have one request to make to you, Robert, if you decide to do LAND OF THE LOST. Please don’t let Will Ferrell completely take of the script and have the comedy be his style. LAND OF THE LOST wasn’t even a comedy to begin with, so the filmmakers will have to be very careful about adapting this one.
