Paul WS Anderson Takes On SPY HUNTER

Hey folks, Ryan here…

When we think of terrible videogame-to-movie adaptations, Uwe Boll automatically comes to mind. Then there’s this guy Paul WS Anderson who has also ass raped his fair share of adaptations.

While Anderson’s films are nowhere near as bad as Boll’s, he’s no Spielberg. Sure, the first RESIDENT EVIL film was pretty good, but MORTAL KOMBAT and AVP? Come on…

Now we have some new information concerning Anderson and his latest project, SPY HUNTER. Variety is reporting that Anderson will co-write the film with an as of yet unidentified writer. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been attached to play the lead role since this pic came into existence. He even starred as the voice of the lead character for the video game that was released back in 2004 which was originally planned to be released alongside the film.

The film will introduce the never-seen spy hunter who works for a secret government agency. He uses the gadget-packed Interceptor (that can transform from a car into a motorcycle, jet ski and submarine) to hunt down agents and thwart a shadowy terrorist org known as Nostra.
