Paramount Pictures has set a release date for the upcoming sequel to this summers big hit, TRANSFORMERS.Mark your calendar people, June 26, 2009 will be the release date for TRANSFORMERS 2.
As of right now it is unclear who will be returning for the sequel, but expect that info to come to surface soon.Â

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are two of the biggest British comedic actors around and they have decided to come to America. According to MTV Movies, Pegg and Frost are hard at work on a script that places these two funny men in America.
Pegg told MTV that “It’s called ‘Paul’ and it’s a road movie about two British geeks in America.†He went on to say this film will be unlike the pairs previous two films, SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ, and that Pegg will be the bitch in this one.
No director has been set for this one and neither has a release date.
Dominic West, Doug Hutchinson and Wayne Knight have all signed up for roles in the upcoming sequel, PUNISHER: WAR ZONE.
West is going to play Jigsaw, the Punisher’s archenemy whose face was torn to shreds then stitched back together like a jigsaw puzzle. Hutchinson will be playing an unbalanced lunatic rightfully named Looney Bin Jim and Knight will play the Punisher’s weapon supplier who is one of the few people that knows the Punisher’s true identity.
Ray Stevenson has already made the commitment of playing Frank Castle/The Punisher.

Brad Pitt is currently in negotiations to join Darren Aronofsky’s next project, THE FIGHTER, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
THE FIGHTER is based on the life of boxer “Irish” Mickey Ward, to be played by Mark Wahlberg, and his trained brother Dick Eklund. The film will follow the brothers from early on in their lives up through Eklund’s battle with drug addiction and Wards world championship fight in London. Pitt will be replacing Matt Damon who was originally signed on to play opposite of Wahlberg.
Time to get excited folks! We have the first still coming from the set of SEX AND THE CITY, a big-screen adaptation of the hit television series that I’m sure all of you watched.

Michael Patrick King, an Executive Producer on the original show, has written the script and plans on directing this upcoming film.

The folks over at Shock Til You Drop received a reliable tip concerning the status of the upcoming remake of FRIDAY THE 13TH. Supposedly two new writers, Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, have signed up to pen the script.
These are the same two guys that wrote FREDDY VS. JASON that New Line released in 2003. Hopefully these guys can get their creative minds together and pop out something spectacular!
