First trailer for the sexy comedy ELEKTRA LUXX just released

ELEKTRA LUXX was directed by Sebastian Gutierrez, the same who wrote Snakes on a Plane, and stars Carla Gugino as Luxx. Timothy Olyphant, Adrianne Palicki, Malin Akerman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt all co-star in this pornstar-turned-teacher comedy. Expect to see this film in theaters on March 11, 2011. Check out the official trailer below, as well as a detailed description.

Recently retired from the adult film industry, superstar Elektra Luxx (Carla Gugino) is pregnant with the child of late rock star Nick Chapel. She is trying to make ends meet by teaching a community college sex education class aimed at housewives when a figure from her past, flight attendant Cora (Marley Shelton), approaches her with a proposition. In exchange for the (stolen) lyrics to Nick Chapel’s last record, all of which is about Elektra, Cora needs Elektra to seduce her fiancee. Elektra reluctantly agrees to do this favor, setting in motion a series of hilarious events which will see her come face to face with detectives, sex bloggers, emotionally unstable neighbors and the Virgin Mary herself as she wrestles with the prospect of motherhood and tries to become a person of substance.

Christopher Nolan talks THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Christopher Nolan talked about his third Batman film, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, while attending the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday night. Nolan was receiving the Modern Master Award for his film Inception.

During the tribute, Nolan answered questions about THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, such as where he got the title for the film and when shooting is scheduled to begin. He jokingly said that he “band my head against the wall” when coming up with the title, but added:

We’ve worked on it a long time – David Goyer and myself. We’re about 12 weeks away from shooting. We start in May.”

So we’re a mere 3 months away from seeing leaked photos from the set of Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy as their respective characters Selina Kyle/Catwoman and Bane. We will keep you updated with all of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES information that comes our way.

Javier Bardem offered starring role in BOND 23

Javier Bardem has to have been the busiest guy in Hollywood this past week. He’s won a Golden Globe, received an Oscar nomination for BIUTIFUL, just had a baby with Penelope Cruz, offered lead role in THE DARK TOWER and now he’s been offered a starring role in BOND 23. We’re not sure who the character is going to be, but since this is supposedly a very major role, chances are it’s the villain. If you remember, Bardem won an Oscar for his performance in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN.

We also learned earlier this week that Dame Judi Dench will be reprising her role as M in BOND 23. Sam Mendes has signed on to direct the film starring Daniel Craig as Bond, and a release date is set for November 9, 2012

My guess is Bardem is going to have to make a choice between THE DARK TOWER and BOND 23. I assume both productions are going to begin soon, and since THE DARK TOWER is going to be very demanding for Bardem, he might not have much time to do another movie, at least for a few months. I could be wrong, but that’s just something to keep in mind.
