A few more set photos from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN now online

We’ve seen a decent number of leaks from the set of Marc Webb’s upcoming Spider-Man reboot. We’ve seen a video of Spidey swinging, a a bunch of set photos and a few images of Spidey doing strange things… We also got an official still of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, with the mask and all, as well as a still of Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy.

These new photos have Spider-Man in some sort of stand-off, with Spidey holding his hands up in the air, and one of Garfield half suited-up being taught how to hold a gun, like a man. While the photos don’t really show us too much, they are fun to look at. Check out the whole gallery of images after the jump. Continue reading

Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr X-MEN: FIRST CLASS character posters

After an extremely promising trailer, marketing for Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class is about to kick up a few notches as the release date creeps closer. This is easily one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, especially out of some of the other comic book films being released this summer. We’ve got two new character posters released for the film that feature Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender) who are the two main characters in the film.

If you ask me, the Xavier poster looks decent, but the Lehnsherr poster just looks bad. If you ask me, it’s just one bad Photoshop job. I mean, look at his head! It looks about twice the size it should be and sticks out like a sore thumb. These posters come from FilmZ. Check out the posters after the jump. Continue reading

New TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON images and spoilers

Michael Bay has announced this Transformers will be the best of the three, but how can we be so sure? Well, we can’t. Not until the film is released in theaters. But for right now, we’ve got some new photos from the film coming from the latest issue of Empire Magazine. All of these images are courtesy of TFW2005, who also had numerous spoilers leaked to them as well.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich, Tyrese Gibson, Frances McDormand, and Ken Jeong. The film hits theaters on July 1, 2011 and will be in 3D. Check out the pictures and spoilers after the jump. Continue reading

Quentin Tarantino’s next movie to be a Western

Quentin Tarantino has decided on his next movie. No, it won’t be a prequel to Inglorious Bastards or a sequel to Kill Bill, but rather a Western starring Christopher Waltz. Waltz won the Oscar last year for Best Supporting actor in Inglorious Basterds directed by Tarantino, now he might be going for a Best Actor award. Movieplayer recently spoke with Italian actor Franco Nero, who gave plenty of details on what might be Tarantino’s next project.

“The film will be called The Angel, The Bad And The Wise and is a tribute to Sergio Leone. It’s a movie that contains humor, lots of action, but also a great plot. We have already been signed by a dozen people who will be part of project. Among the filmmakers involved include Quentin Tarantino, Keith Carradine, Treat Williams, fifteen people in all Americans who want to do this movie and so we are trying to produce it outside of Italy.”

But Mr. Beaks over at Ain’t It Cool News says that information above might not be true. Read more after the jump. Continue reading

Mark Ruffalo talks motion capture for The Hulk

After Edward Norton stepped away from playing Bruce Banner/The Hulk a second time, actor Mark Ruffalo stepped in his place to portray the character in the upcoming Joss Whedon film, The Avengers. Ruffalo will be the first actor playing The Hulk to have used motion capture, as all the rest were just computer animated, and that the character will have an uncanny resemblance of Ruffalo.

[It looks] just like me. We’re going out of our way. First of all, I’ll be playing it… I’ll be the first actor to actually do it in motion capture as the Hulk. And so all the features are mine – they’re just really big.

Check out a video interview of Ruffalo from MTV after the jump. Continue reading

DUMB AND DUMBER sequel in motion

One of my most favorite movies of all time, Dumb and Dumber, was almost ruined by that terrible, unspeakable prequel. That movie left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth, and had no redeeming qualities to it. That film took jokes from the original and ruined them. Dumb and Dumberer was just plain awful… Now the Farrelly Brothers are talking about doing a sequel to Dumb and Dumber. Of course the Farrelly’s had nothing to do with the prequel, but I’m just not sure how I feel about them wanting to return to the Harry and Lloyd characters. Also, the two brothers haven’t had, in my eyes, a real hit film since There’s Something About Mary. That doesn’t mean the Farrelly’s couldn’t return to our material and hash out something great, but I’m not too hopeful. Continue reading

The new INSIDIOUS poster is insidious

I think this is going to be a running joke until Insidious is released on DVD/Blu-Ray. The tagline for the movie is “Insidious is Insidious” so I feel everything that comes from this movie, whether it be stills or posters or trailers, all need to have “(blank) is insidious!” for the titles. I think it’s funny, maybe someone else does, too. So here’s to you, fellow person that shares similar humor tastes.

Director James Wan (Saw) has joined forces with the producers of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and has reunited with Saw screenwriter Leigh Whannel to bring a new tale of terror to the big screen. The new flick, Insidious, deals with a family trying to prevent their comatose son from becoming possessed and trapped in a world called “The Further.” Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne star in the film which is set to hit theaters on April 1, 2011. Check out the full poster after the jump. Continue reading

Jon Chu will direct G.I. JOE sequel

Hot off his rather successful Justin Bieber documentary Never Say Never, Jon Chu has officially signed on to direct the sequel to the 2009 summer blockbuster G.I. Joe. We had previously heard that F. Gary Gray (Law Abiding Citizen) and Juame Collet-Serra (Unknown) were both potential directors for the sequel, but it seems as though Chu has beaten them both for the job. Paramount and Hasbro picked Chu over the others most likely due to his success with the Bieber flick, but apparently Chu is a huge fan of G.I. Joe (but who isn’t?) and the studio felt he was the right man for the job.

The Hollywood Reporter has more information on the story as well as the returning and not-returning cast. Check out that information after the jump. Continue reading
