A little over a week ago we heard news that Zack Snyder’s new film, Sucker Punch, was not fairing well with test audiences and that work was being done on the film to hopefully improve it’s effect on future audiences. I don’t see how this film isn’t testing well, but obviously something is off. The last few trailers have looked great and I thought the film seemed like a great idea and tons of fun. I’ve enjoyed all of Snyder’s work and I feel he’s proven himself as a very talented director. This is an original idea from the director’s own mind, so maybe that’s where the problem lies.
Sucker Punch is directed by Snyder and stars Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung and Carla Gugino. Here are some pretty cool character posters for the film showing the five main characters of the film. Check out the new trailer after the jump.
The film hits theaters March 25, 2011. Check out a brief synopsis of the film below.
A young girl is institutionalized by her wicked stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the facility.
