Danny Boyle’s next film will put you in a TRANCE

Director Danny Boyle will squeeze in one film before he begins work on the 2012 Summer Olympics. The film is currently titled Trance, and will tell the story of an art heist gone wrong with the darkness we’ve seen in Trainspotting and Shallow Grave. That’s certainly good news, seeing as the director hasn’t done a real dark, gritty film in quite a while. It will be interesting to see how he handles a film of that nature after nearly 15 years of doing something similar.

No one is attached to star in the film, but Boyle will reunite with his 127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire producing partner Christian Colson. Deadline says the plan is to shoot the film this September, and then put it on hold until August of 2012, once Boyle has finished directing the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
