We reported earlier about a rumor where a scene in the new Batman movie would be cut. The scene entails Spoiler Alert! Heath Ledger as the Joker jumping out of a body bag.

Moviehole now has denied that any scenes would be cut from the film. They quote a ’source close to the Dark Knight’ as saying “I KNOW for a fact that that scene is in the film. I also know that WB has made no such mandate and that Chris [Nolan] is honest when saying that he will not change what was intended with The Joker.”

The reason the rumor started was because reports were that test audiences thought it was distasteful
to show Heath Ledger’s character in that situation. I guess they must have thought it was “too soon” for that to be shown to people. Personally, I hope they keep it in there. Chris Nolan needs to stay true to what he intended for The Joker, and the best way for him to do that is to keep this film as original as possible.

There is a rumor going around saying Warner Bros might be considering cutting a controversial and unsettling scene from ‘The Dark Knight’ because of Heath Ledgers untimely passing. The scene in question involves The Joker hididng inside of a body bag pretending to be dead. Apparently this scene is not going over so well with test audiences, so it might end up on the cutting room floor.

To me, that scene doesn’t sound bad at all. People need to get over this kind of shit and not let someone’s death, especially someone they didn’t even know, bother them so much. It’s a movie people, come on! It’s not like they took Heath Ledger’s dead body, put Joker makeup on it, and filmed it in a body bag. Now that would cause some major controversy if you ask me. But really, I don’t seem what the big deal is and these people complaining need to stop and Warner Bros. needs not let this bother them.

With just a few more months left until ‘The Dark Knight’ hits theaters, Warner Bros. has released some “new” information regarding the plot. This information came out with their Summer Preview 2008 kit along with some photos which have already been posted on the internet. Details are below:

“The Dark Knight” reunites director Christopher Nolan with star Christian Bale, who returns to continue Batman’s war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.

As I said earlier, nothing too exciting in those plot details that most of us couldn’t have picked up from images/trailers seen previously. Be ready to see Batman back in action this summer on July 18th!
