International trailer for Jodie Foster’s THE BEAVER starring Mel Gibson

A new international trailer for Jodie Foster’s The Beaver starring Mel Gibson has just been released. The film opened in 22 theaters across North America this past Friday, and hasn’t done nearly as well as hoped. Early box office results say the film only made $30,000 its first night, meaning the film could finish off the weekend with a total close to $100,000. Those numbers aren’t stellar, and one could blame Gibson’s current status in the public’s eye as the reason why the film did so poorly.

I’ve heard good thing about the film, and the trailer’s haven’t looked too shabby. Give this new one a go, and lets us know what you think in the comment section. You can reach both of those after the jump. Continue reading

New Mystique character trailer from X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

Yesterday we showed you three character trailers from X-Men: First Class featuring Beast, Havok and Banshee. All of them were pretty freakin’ sweet. Well today we have another one, this time for Mystique. This trailer features a lot of the same footage we saw in the Beast trailer, but we do get some exclusive Mystique alone time. We’re even shown how her relationship with Erik Lensherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender) begins to blossom. Rebecca Romin played Mystique in the original X-Men films, but this time around we have Jennifer Lawrence stepping into the role.

All in all, I found these four trailers to be a positive indicator on what we should expect from the full film. I’m excited…are you? Hit the jump to see the new video. Continue reading

First clip from car-heist flick DRIVE starring Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling has been around for a long time, and he’s now starting to branch out in the roles that he chooses to play. The once beloved romantic/drama actor’s latest flick, Drive, puts him behind the steering wheel as a stunt driver who moonlights as a criminal pulling off different heists. The indie thriller comes from director Nicolas Winding Refn (Valhalla Rising, Bronson) who is certainly gaining lots of attention in Hollywood as a potentially huge force to be reckoned with.

We’ve got your first look at the first clip from the film, which looks real cool. Hit the jump to see the video. Continue reading

Watch: COLOMBIANA trailer is basically THE PROFESSIONAL 2

Will audiences ever get tired of little girls trained, by either her father or father figure, to be ruthless killers? Maybe, maybe not. All I know is that storyline typically works very well and everyone walks away saying how much fun they had watching the story unfold. Well that’s exactly what Olivier Megaton has brought to the table as an appetizer before he heads off and directs Taken 2.

Colombiana looks very cool, and has tons of elements taken from La Femme Nikita and The Professial pouring out of it. I guess that makes sense, considering Luc Besson co-wrote the script alongside Robert Mark Kamen. Zoe Saldana stars as the ruthless killer/assassin girl all grown up and ready to seek revenge on her murdered parents. Check out the trailer after the jump. Continue reading

Three awesome clips from X-MEN: FIRST CLASS featuring Beast, Havok and Banshee

The release of X-Men: First Class is just under a month away, and we’re here to get you even more excited for the flick coming from Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn. The three clips we have come courtesy of MTV, and they feature the characters of Beast, Havok and Banshee. Some of these characters may be sort of new to you, with Beast being the only one we’ve seen given the big-screen treatment.

The clips are real cool as they showcase each character’s mutant power. I’ve been a little worried about this project from the get-go, but the more I see, the more I feel Vaughn has done the X-Men series justice. Hit the jump to see the three new clips. Continue reading

First trailer for CONAN THE BARBARIAN makes its way online

We saw the first teaser trailer for Conan The Barbarian almost two months ago, and now we have our first full-length trailer to gawk at. This is a remake of the classic 80′s action flick which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, the role that pretty much solidified him as an action star badass.

This trailer brought back memories of 300, Troy and The Mummy…which I’m not sure is a good thing. Sure, 300 was a great flick the first few times I saw it, and it still holds up as a good flick, but it got old quick. As for the other two films, well, there’s not much to say about them because they aren’t good. This trailer is alright and gives us a nice look at the film, but I’m afraid this will end up being the same tired old story we’ve saw told 100 times last year. Hit the jump to watch the video. Watch: New GREEN LANTERN trailer is…awesome

Everything I’m seeing for The Green Lantern boosts my excitement for the film ten-fold. I mean seriously. Even the very first trailer got me excited for the film, despite its total lack of depth and connection to the characters. This latest trailer brings all of the elements a good trailer should have. We’ve got comedy, action, drama, touching moments…I could go on all day about this trailer, but I won’t.

If you are still having doubts about this film, I beg you, watch this trailer! It’s awesome! This film has the potential to be the big underdog of the summer, mark my words. But I’ll stop at that, and let you hit the jump to see the latest trailer (which is awesome, by the way). Continue reading

Watch: First clip from PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES

We’ve seen afew trailers and television spots for the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film, but nothing has been quite like this. This new clip features Captain Jack Sparrow as he attempts to make an escape from a palace which looks to be filled in highly incompetent guards and servants. The clip is interesting and fun, and should be somewhat of an indicator at the kind of humor we should expect to see in the film.

I haven’t been the biggest fan of the series, but I have to give credit when credit’s due. The franchise has made big bucks and appeals to a wide audience. I though the second film was the best of the series, although I think many would disagree with me on that one, but that’s my own personal preference. Could Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides be a smash hit? We’ll find out this summer, but in the mean time, hit the jump to see the new clip. Continue reading

New KUNG FU PANDA 2 clip flies online

A new 45-second clip for Kung Fu Panda 2 has been released and I have to say, this film is looking pretty good. I’m glad to see they’ve kept the character as lovable and incompetent as he was in the first film. I just hope the filmmakes don’t play that out too much in this sequel.

Kung Fu is in danger, and Po is the only one who can save it in the sequel to the hit Dreamworks animated film, Kung Fu Panda. Jack Black reprises his role as Po, the panda who is the Kung Fu master. Do you think Po and his kung fu fighting friends have what it takes? Hit the jump to see the new clip. Continue reading

10 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage of THOR

Is the release date of Thor too far away? Do you need something to watch to keep you sane for the next five days? If so (or if not) check out these two videos we have for you that take you behind-the-scenes of Thor. You’ll get to see a total of 10 minutes of footage, which definitely contains some spoilers. So, if you don’t want to ruin any part of the film for yourself, don’t watch these until you’ve seen the full movie.

I’m hoping to get the chance to see it as soon as possible. The film is getting good reviews from all over, so that’s definitely promising. Looks like Marvel has another winner on its hands. Hit the jump to see the two videos. Continue reading
